Picture

Learn the Art of Eco-Printing on Paper
and create a one-of-a-kind journal that captures the beauty of nature

This live Zoom workshop meets for four sessions, 2.5 hours each, over four consecutive weeks.

                                       In this workshop you will:

  • Explore mordants and iron to see how they shift and enhance colors.
  • Prepare and 'cook' two bundle styles: flat layered and rolled.
  • Create small plant portraits for tags or journal inserts.
  • Assemble your printed pages into a handbound Dos-a-dos style journal.
  • Learn tips for collecting and storing plant material for future projects.

               You'll also receive:
  • A class kit mailed to your door (US addresses only) with botanicals from my garden and most of the supplies you'll need.
  • A digital handout with instructions and resources.
  • Access to class recordings for one year.

What students are saying...

I cannot recommend this class highly enough!
Kathy is a superb and thorough teacher and the class kit she sends you - full of her garden’s goodies -
is over generous and well-planned. I love my journal and I want more eco-printing in my life!!!

Kimberly Logocki

“Thank you Kathy!  I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this class and appreciate all you have so generously shared with us.
I learned so much.  I can’t wait to work with the beautiful papers I dyed and I’ve already begun collecting and drying
some leaves growing here around my house. I look forward to another class with you soon.”
Deb Dugan

Day 2 - Introducing iron to the process
