If so, join me for this online class where I will teach you how to create rust stain patterns on cotton fabric using four different binding techniques. You will learn about oxidation and what conditions are needed for this rusting reaction to take place. With just a few household supplies and some rusty metal you can create unique designs that will inspire you to use and show off your newly dyed fabric in a variety of ways.

Loved this class! Kathy makes the process seem so simple and easy to do. I would never have thought it possible to create something so beautiful from scraps of fabric and rusty old metal. I also love that is costs nothing as I'm sure I have all the supplies in my kitchen and garage. I can't wait to collect some old rusty objects! I think my favorite binding technique is the shibori style wrap.
