Don't throw those holiday candy wrappers away!
This class is all about repurposing foil candy wrappers into one of a kind Valentine’s day cards for your friends and that someone special too.  Wouldn’t it be impressive to make one of these “Sweet Valentine’s” while at the same time be kind to Mother Nature? It may not seem like much but every little bit that doesn’t end up in the trash helps, right?

Start by using a fun and easy technique to paint a background on  watercolor paper. Then you’ll cut out various sizes of heart shapes, prepare foil wrappers and try several techniques to cover the heart shapes.

There is a small amount of optional embroidery but no worries if you are not familiar with making French knots because I've included a Bonus Video: How to make a French knot that will show you how.

The hardest part of the class will be deciding which Sweet Valentine to give to that special someone and which one to keep for yourself.

What students are saying:

I really liked that the teacher got right to the topic she was talking about, no waiting for her to gather her supplies or her thoughts. Making the background cards was brilliant!
 ~Sheila Perl

I don't usually need an excuse to buy candy kisses, but if I did, this class would provide the reason. Kathy's class is easy to follow, uses materials that many of us already have on hand, and is just plain fun. So with that said, I'm off to the store to get my candy kisses and will post my project soon!
