Supply List

  • Watercolor paper 140 lb. or heavy mixed media paper cut into:  3 - square pieces (6" x 6" or smaller), 2 - 8" x 10" pieces and 1 - 4" x 5" piece
  • 3 pieces of 8.5" x 11" card stock to print out envelope and tag templates
  • Copy paper to print security envelope patterns, stamps, and botanical line drawings
  • 1 piece of tracing paper
  • Wax paper
  • Pencil
  • Glue stick - You can use any glue stick you are comfortable working with but if you are looking to purchase glue sticks here are my 2 recommendations:  the UHU brand is my number one favorite because of how smoothly they glide onto the paper surface, they have a twist on top so they don't dry out as quickly as some other brands, they are acid free and the bond is very secure. My second favorite is Elmer's all purpose which applies to paper very smoothly and is also acid free and washable.
  • Security envelopes – Any colors and patterns that you have (a mix of light and dark is best)*
  • Other envelopes - for the flaps, barcodes and other printed symbols and marks*
  • Postmarked postage stamps*
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Exacto blade or other cutting blade
  • Cutting mat
  • Bone folder or old credit card for burnishing
  • Clear tape (scotch tape)
  • Waste paper for gluing

Optional:
  • Hole punch for the tags
  • Paper punches if you have them (round, square, floral and leaf designs etc.)
*There will be printable pages of security envelope patterns in a variety of colors, bar codes, symbols and postmarked stamps available that can be used if you don't have access to security envelopes or in combination with the ones you do have.
